Honorable David E. Borer, Mayor
Elected for 2016-2019 Term
Mayor Borer has been a resident of the Fayette area all of his life. His family moved inside the village limits back in 2000. He and his wife Mary are the parents of five adult children, all of whom graduated from the Fayette School District. David and Mary are blessed to have each of them still residing in Fayette and the surrounding area, along with eight grandchildren.
His previous community contributions include treasurer for the Fayette Athletic boosters and serving as a church council representative for Our Lady of Mercy Church.
What mayor Borer appreciates most about Fayette, is its family atmosphere and friendly faces. His favorite hobby is watching the summer softball leagues, while eating popcorn for the concession stand.
Mayor Borer believes "Fayette has a great advantage by having a turnpike exit and three main highways running through it. The potential for business opportunities should be a real plus for new industries. I look forward to serving the people of this great community."
Mayor Borer served on council from 2010-2016, of which three of those years he enjoyed serving as Village Council President. He was also active in Governmental Affairs, Public Works, Public Safety, and Finance Committees.
Mayor Borer is grateful to have been given the opportunity in January 2016, to serve as the Mayor to the residents of Fayette.
